A little love letter to my current hometown.
Pike Place Market is full of color and movement, and I loved the contrast of the flower stall against the everyday bustle around it. There was even a tomato soup advertisement behind the flower seller, which somehow made the scene feel even more real.
I love that markets are places where so many little worlds overlap. People are shopping, selling, chatting, rushing, wandering. Everyone has somewhere to be, but for a moment, all those lives share the same space.
Not every painting needs to come from a faraway place. Sometimes it's nice to look a little closer to home.
